Biography

 

Cynthia Kessler, FSCTM, NCTM is the owner and director of the Stuart School of Music.  She received a Bachelor of Arts in piano performance from Palm Beach Atlantic University and graduate study at Florida Atlantic University.  She has been an independent piano teacher for over forty years.  As a piano teacher, she holds Florida certification and was awarded permanent national certification by Music Teachers National Association. Ms. Kessler has served as President of Palm Beach County Music Teachers Association, President of Treasure Coast Music Teachers Association, Vice President of District Six Florida State Music Teachers Association, Chairman of Martin County Area Florida Federation of Music Clubs and Chairman of the Stuart Audition Center of the National Guild of Piano Teachers. 

 

Ms. Kessler has performed piano recitals extensively throughout Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, England and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  She was a founding member of the Stuart Piano Quartet and performed with the popular group throughout South Florida.  She also performed extensively with her duo-piano partner, Carolyn Herer.  Ms. Kessler received the 2004 Outstanding Performing Artist Award from the Arts Council of Martin County.  In 2019, she was awarded the Excellence in Arts Education from the Arts Foundation for Martin County.
